WHAT IS A WOMAN’S CLUB?
“A place where kind thought is cherished,
Where High ideals are fed and nourished,
Where Charity and all its beauty is felt to be a sacred duty,
Where Peace and Harmony abound
And members meet on Common Ground.”
President’s Message
Ladies as we approach our 100th year celebration it is most important to appreciate how a woman’s role in the world has evolved. Our woman’s club is no longer just a garden club. It is so much more. We are more than women that manage a home and a family. We have gotten an education, earned a profession, married, raised the children, fought the health issues, experienced an empty nest, cared for aging parents, lost our loved ones, and some are learning to be single again. Each of us has found our way to a dynamic group of women seeking new friendships, and fulfillment that may bless our journey as we move on to new chapters in our lives.
For the next two years, Eileen and I have chosen the Bumble Bee as our emblem. Bumble Bees are so big compared to their wings that many people believe the Bumble Bee should not be able to fly. However, the bee shows her determination, diligence, true productivity and courage to fly many distances to accomplish her work. Using our Bumble Bee theme, we are going to continue our team work to bless our community! Bee Kind in heart and mind!
My Best, Denise Apple

COLLECT FOR CLUB WOMEN
Keep us oh God from pettiness, let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.
Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense and meet each other face to face – without self-pity and without prejudice.
May we never be hasty in judgment and always generous.
Let us take time for all things; make us to grow calm, serene, gentle.
Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.
Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things of life we are at one. And may we strive to touch and to know the great, common human heart of us all, and oh Lord God, let us forget not to be kind.
– Mary Stewart
