Book Club meeting scheduled for February 25, 2026, 1pm at the Clubhouse. Liz Vitak will lead the discussion.
The selection for this month is “Anxious People” by Fredrik Backman. It’s a humorous yet poignant novel about a failed bank robbery that turns into a chaotic apartment viewing hostage situation. A desperate would-be robber, fleeing a cashless bank, bursts into an apartment “open house” taking eight people hostage, including the real estate agent and potential buyers. It’s an absurd standoff where the hostages bond and even help the robber escape.
