Club Pledge
Holding my membership and The Woman’s Club of Accomack County as worthy of unfailing loyalty. I will sustain the club its good work as long as I am a member.

Membership Classes
The corporation shall consist of three classes of membership. Regular Members, Honorary Members, and Lifetime Members of Distinction. Membership shall be unlimited to women who support the corporate purpose of The Woman’s Club of Accomack County.
Three Classes

Regular Members – These are members that are active participants in the club who shares in its mission, attends meetings and events, and contributes to its ongoing activities. Regular members play a vital role in the community by supporting club initiatives, engaging with fellow members, and helping to shape the club’s direction through their involvement and feedback. They enjoy full membership privileges and are encouraged to take part in committees, volunteer opportunities, and decision-making processes.

Honorary Members – These are members with a minimum of 20 years of service. This class of membership is available to members who, for reasons of health or disability, are unable to attend meetings on a regular basis. Honorary members will not have voting privileges, and their dues will be waived.
Candidates for Honorary Membership shall be presented to the Board of Directors by the Membership Chair for Election. Election will be by 2/3 majority.

Lifetime Members of Distinction – These are members with 20 or more years of service in recognition of their outstanding service to the Club. Members will be nominated by a committee composed of the current membership chairman plus two other Club members of her choosing. Nominations will be made every other year (in the odd years) and be presented to the Club’s Board of Directors at the August meeting. The Board will vote at the meeting by secret ballot and those members so elected will be notified by the membership chairman by letter and their names announced to the general September membership meeting. They will be honored at the Club’s annual Thanksgiving meeting. These members remain as full, voting members will all the rights and privileges and remain eligible for election to honorary status. Dues for these members is optional.
Candidates for membership must attend one general meeting prior to applying for membership. Upon attendance of that meeting and submission of an application with payment of the initiation fee and annual dues, the candidate will be declared a member of the Club. Membership Chair shall inform the board and general membership of the new members, and the Recording Secretary will record the date the new member was accepted into the Club on their application, sign it, and keep it on file. New members may be taken in throughout the year and there will be no limit to the number of new members.
- Initiation fee shall be $15.00
- Annual dues shall be $50.00 to be paid to the Treasurer by July 1.
- If a member joins after January 31 and prior to April 1, half dues shall be paid.
- If a member joins after April 1, full dues shall be paid and applied to the next Club year.
- Angel donations always welcome and appreciated.
